Meet Our Pastors
We are privileged and honored to Pastor the most northern church in the USA. We are located at the very top of Alaska, 320 miles above the Arctic Circle. I have lived in Alaska for about 40 years. About 27 years in Kotzebue, Alaska where my wife is from and almost 14 years in Barrow, Alaska. My wife is Inupiaq. We have 6 kids and 3 grandchildren and hopefully still counting the grandchildren. We hope you are encouraged, blessed and instructed from God's Word while you are here on our site. May you feel God's Love and Presence and hear Him speaking to you in a real personal way.

"The Top of the World"
Utqiagvik is the most Northern City in the United States of America. North Gate is the most Northern Church in the USA. We are located 320 miles above the Arctic Circle at the very top of Alaska. We are a whaling community very rich in culture of the Inupiaq people. When the sun sets here around November 20, it doesn’t rise again until around January 21 of the next year. On average, Utqiagvik's high temperature is above freezing only 120 days per year, while temperatures are at or below zero degrees 160 days per year. Utqiagvik is an amzing, awesome and blessed place.
